Akkoyunlu, Karabekir ^{Person Individualisierte Person}

Karabekir Akkoyunlu is an assistant professor at the Centre for Southeast European Studies, University of Graz. He completed his PhD at the London School of Economics, where his research focused on the transformation of hybrid regimes in Turkey and Iran. He studied Persian at Isfahan University and taught courses on Middle East politics and theories of democratization at the LSE. Akkoyunlu holds a BA in history from Brown University and an MPhil from the University of Cambridge. His MPhil dissertation on military reform and democratization in Turkey and Indonesia was published as an Adelphi paper by the International Institute for Strategie Studies in 2007.
